Although not necessary, it is advised that you align the orientation of the weapon appropriately. Note how the barrel is pointing in the +Y direction (For Skeletal Mesh's You Can Re-Import Them With A Rotational Offset) Note how the top of the weapon is Parallel to the Ground Plane Ensuring this is the case will simplify the process of Zeroing in the Character IK Retargeter Settings during Run-Time.
