Live Retargeted Characters
In this Subsection I will continue from where I left off in the Creating New Items section
To simplify things I'm only covering the basics here on repurposing the existing assets, to know more about them and what everything is please check the Bonus Features -> Item Handling -> Item Character Data
After Duplicating the Rifle Assets for the Echo Character I placed them in a new folder and renamed them and assigned the new PDA_HeldObjectSettings to the IKRetargetData Variable.

I renamed the new PDA_LiveRetargeting Data Assets and PDA_HeldObjectOffset I assigned to the appropriate Variables within the PDA_HeldObjectSettings.

After assigning this to the Chooser we should be ready to configure the settings.

Lets configure our PDA_HeldObjectOffset stored in our PDA_HeldObjectSettings Asset which we assigned to our 'Held Object Offset Hand R' Variable.

Now that we have positioned it in the hand we can address the offset of the left hand, which is caused by the fact that these poses were not made for this item.

Since we are in the Aiming Stance, we need to open up the PDA_LiveRetargeting Asset assigned to that Stance.

These are the Settings we will be changing. Static Local Offset & Static Rotation Offset - Do not worry about anything else and do not use Static Offset! If the Pose was created for this Item and this Character then no offsets will be needed!

After Adjusting the Static Local Offset of the hand, it should now be in a decent location.

Now lets open up the PDA_LiveRetargeting for the Ready State!

Because these Poses were made for this Character, I was able to simply Copy/Paste the same offset for the Ready State and everything aligned perfectly. If this is not the case for you then you can adjust as needed!
